As a non-profit organization, G.O.A.L.S. for Women relies on support from foundations, government agencies, and tax-deductible gifts from generous individuals.
GOALS started as a support group in 1997 by African American women. With in-kind services from the community and financial support from private individuals, foundations, local and government, GOALS officially launched its programs in spring 2002 and since then has provided mental health support services to over 500 women and their families. Our services have improved participants' abilities to achieve and maintain employment, connect with their children, and seek health support and other social resources. Now, with greater support from the community and generous donors, we are expanding our reach and continuum of services.
Please consider making a contribution to GOALS to strengthen our ability to provide innovative and culturally sensitive mental health services to underserved women of color and their families, including trauma survivors, who live in Oakland, California and surrounding East Bay communities.
